As cable MSOs and telco service providers seek to leverage the cost and operational benefits of IP networks to deliver advanced video services, intelligent devices are required at the edge of these IP networks where they meet last-mile RF access networks. At the IP edge, VSP1422 converts video and audio channels to both analog and digital formats for delivery over either coax cable in the case of cable MSOs or fiber to the premises (FTTP) in the case of telco service providers.
